Coming into the 2021 Olympic Trials, Bella Sims was already getting quite a bit of attention. She had hit the most Olympic Trial cuts of any swimmer in the country (11) and ended up competing in 4 events at the Wave II meet: 100, 200, 800 free, and 100 fly.

She then competed, along with some other pros, at a dual meet between Arizona State and Wisconsin in October, believed to be her first races of any kind since Tokyo. She swam 50-yard and 100-yard freestyles there.
DICK'S Sporting Goods highlights the achievements of the GMC Swimmers of the Year. As selected by the GMC Head Swimming Coaches, all these premier aquatic athletes each tallied multiple first place finishes and were instrumental in their team successes. From the Mason Comets, the girls "Swimmer of the Year" was Isabella Teply with her teammate, Max Plumley selected as the boys "Swimmer of the Year". Sharing the boys "Swimmer of the Year" accolades was Sycamore's Bryce Menchoffer.
Juan has always been very involved in athletics, starting at a very young age. Competitive swimming was just one of his favorite extra-curricular activities in which he excelled in. Juan joined his first swim team at the age of 11 years old during the summer where he joined a summer league for his local community pool. Every year since then Juan joined that summer league and never failed to qualify for the All-Star team. Juan truly has a love of swimming. For Juan, being the Director of SwimJim Texas has given him a platform where he can apply his knowledge of swimming to anyone willing to learn. Whether your child is young, or the lessons are for you, Juan takes pride in making sure each individual gets the most out of their lessons. Juan takes pride in knowing not only is he teaching his students how to swim, but in addition, a skill that might save their lives.
Jacob was a competitive swimmer in high school and when he graduated coached for a summer league swim team in Spring Branch. He joined SwimJim in 2021 and loves being a swim coach. He teaches all levels from SwimBabies to SwimWinners. He teaches at both our Wilcrest location and LA Fitness Marq*E location.
Torey is in his third year as the head coach of the Tuckahoe Swim Team. In addition to coaching our Tigers to our first NVSL D1 Championship since 1976, Torey also serves as the Aquatics Director at Tuckahoe, running our swim, dive, and water aerobic programs. Torey is also the assistant national team coach at York Swim Club, running the Yorktown Morning Group, and is the head coach at Yorktown High School.
Hi! I'm coach Rebecca, I started swimming at Tuckahoe when I was 5 yrs old and have been swimming for 16 years. I currently do club swimming and club water polo at the University of Pittsburgh while studying social work and American Sign Language. I have coached for five years at Tuckahoe as a junior coach and with the winter swim program, and one year as an assistant coach. As an assistant developmental coach, I will lead groups of swimmers who are learning new skills/techniques and prepare them for meets. I will focus on workouts and drills that will promote legality in all four strokes. I look forward to working with all swimmers to promote team spirit and a love for the sport and Tuckahoe.
I have been swimming for the Tuckahoe Swim Team and Machine Aquatics since I was five years old. Tuckahoe is where my love for swimming was born and the reason why I continued competitively throughout childhood, leading to commit to swim Division 1 at Brigham Young University starting this fall. As a coach, I hope to be able to instill the same passion and enthusiasm in swimming for Tuckahoe for our younger athletes.
This is my seventh season on the Tuckahoe swim team-- 6 years as a swimmer, and 4 of those years as a coach. I swam competitively for 10 years. My favorite events are butterfly and IM. I look forward to building our youngest swimmers into strong Tigers for the future.
My name is Catherine and I am a rising Junior at McLean High School. I have been swimming competitively for Tuckahoe and AAC (my club team) for 11 years. I will be a part of the 9-10 coaching squad and look forward to creating a positive and energetic environment while also developing strong stroke techniques with the swimmers.
I have coached for Tuckahoe for the past four years and participated on theswim team since I was 6 years old. My role as a coach is to bring energyduring practice and at meets to the swimmers as well as develop swimmerswith the proper techniques.
I have been a part of the tuckahoe swim community since I was 7 years old. I first started coaching For the Tuckahoe swim team at the age of 14 and was the Assistant Head Little Tigers Coach last season. Along with the summer team, I have coached the winter swim program and was the supervisor for group lessons. I look forward to leading our developmental program this summer and teaching our kids to not only improve in the water but also to love the Tuckahoe Swim experience.
I have been swimming at Tuckahoe since I was 5. I also swim competitively with AAC and at McLean High School. I have enjoyed working with young kids while helping at meets and plan to use that experience while coaching. I look forward to my first year as a Little Tigers Coach.

Bella Sims is a competitive swimmer who represents the United States internationally. At the 2021 Olympic trials, at the age of 16, sims qualified for the Olympic team as a member of the 4200 free relay by finishing 5th in the 200 free.
JACKSONVILLE - North Florida swimming makes its annual appearance at the Florida State quad meet on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. The Ospreys will compete against the host Seminoles as well as West Florida and Florida Southern.
